Bold World Media was back on the scene covering Arizona State University vs. Southern Methodist University (SMU), and these swimmers showed up ready to compete.
For our reporter William Miller Jr., a competitive swimmer himself, watching athletes perform at this level reinforced something important: repetition is the key to success.
Every Stroke, Every Turn, Every Finish
It is not just about showing up and working hard. It is about doing the little things correctly, every single time. Every stroke, every turn, every start, and every finish matters. When athletes practice the right way over and over again, those habits become part of who they are.
One of the biggest lessons William took away from the experience was the importance of teamwork.
Swimming might seem like an individual sport, but behind every great swimmer is a team pushing, supporting, and motivating one another. Even when swimmers are racing in their own lanes, they are representing something bigger than themselves.

Behind the Camera, Learning for the Pool
For William, the opportunity to watch athletes compete at one of the highest levels of collegiate swimming is something he does not take for granted. He is there to capture footage and conduct interviews, but he is also there to learn.
He watches their technique, discipline, preparation, and the way they support their teammates. Each visit to the pool deck offers something he can apply to his own training.
And while he enjoys being behind the camera, he has a bigger goal: one day, he hopes to be one of the swimmers in the pool competing at this level.
Until then, he will keep practicing, learning, improving, and putting in the work.
Stay Locked In
Success does not happen overnight. It is built through repetition, discipline, teamwork, and the willingness to show up every single day.
Today, William is behind the camera. Tomorrow, he plans to be behind the starting blocks.
Stay focused. Stay disciplined. Stay locked in.
